Section One: How to unlock Windows 7/Vista/XP password via password reset Wizard?
If you lost Windows login password in Windows 7/Vista/XP, you may notice that there is a link, "Reset Password...", appears when you login with a incorrect password. Section Two: How to unlock Windows 7 password by Command(also calls cmd/net user).
If you have another account with admin privileges or you have enable the built-in administrator account, you can easily unlock Windows 7 password with CMD. Here show you the steps to unlock Windows 7 password with CMD. Unlock Windows Vista, XP password is the same as this.
Step 1: Logon Windows 7 as administrator.
Step 2: Click Start, type cmd in the Run box or Search box and press Enter(You also can logon Safe Mode with Command Prompt).
Step 3: Type in net user, all user accounts will be displayed.
Step 4: Type "net user" "user name" "new password"(without quotes), press Enter. Then it will prompt you that the command completed succeddfully and you can restart your computer to login with new user's password.

Section Three: How to unlock Windows XP password in Safe Mode
We can not unlock Windows 7/Vista password via Safe Mode, but unlock Windows XP password in safe mode works perfectly. Now let's start! Press F8 as soon as you can when restart your computer, it will show you several options to login safe mode. Select safe mode and hit Enter. There is a built-in administrator account with blank password if you nerver change it. You can try to logon as administrator without password.

After successfully login, right-click My computer and choose Manage, open Users folder, right-click a user name(here take Dave for example) and select "set password", type in your new password twice and click OK. But note that you may lose some personal files of the account in this way.
